Process : Crimping

Simple, structurally efficient, end-fittings for use on rods after pultrusion are developed by a metal forging company run by the management of Phoenix.

Combining metal crimping and adhesive bonding techniques: Fittings are made for use with solid and hollow circular section pultrusions of various diameters, and on a profile pultrusion. The force and/or pressure applied to the metal end fittings by crimping jaws are monitored during crimping.

With the adoption of AE detection: A method of structure design and quality control in the manufacturing process of crimped end-fittings, insulators made in this method show good mechanical properties according to IEC 1109 and other standards.
